Competition director
Bill is the competition director, he has been the chairman of the human powered flight group of the Royal Aeronautical Society for many years.
Bill, together with Fred To and a few friends, were the founder members of the successful British Human Powered Flying Club which promotes the sport of human-powered flying and has been holding annual flying competitions in the UK. The rules and regulations of the “Icarus Cup” has been a model for other countries.
Bill Brooks is an aeronautical engineering and test-flying consultant.
He was the director of P+M Aviation, his last design at P+M was the successful QuikR microlight.
He has built and flown several aircraft including a Jodell DR1050 and the recent “Flycycle” microlight.
